Kodak Gear 60 Inch Photo/Video Tripod with Quick Release for Film & Digital SLR Cameras and CamcordersI purchased the Kodak tripod ($10.00) as well as a Davis Sanford ($90.00) tripod at the same time thinking I'd use the Kodak on road trips and the D/S around home.Dollar for dollar the Kodak is the better buy.Can you use it professionally? No, but for the hobbyist or amateur vidoeographer like me, it's a great buy.None of the other tripods I've purchased ever came with a 'How To Take Great Images With Tripods' pamphlet, either.

Also, attaching the quick release head on the Kodak was a snap with the wing-nut type attachment. The D/S needs a screwdriver (or coin) to screw it into the camera (I have a Canon GL2)

I returned the D/S tripod and kept the Kodak.
