Outstanding workmanship and build quality. Paid only $30 but I'm pretty sure it could sell for a lot more. Excellent image quality comparable to a prime lens.Lens construction and materials are truly impeccable.Image quality is truly outstanding. Using this semi wide angle allowed me to stay in one position without backing up to capture the scene. Angle of view is comparable to a 35mm semi wide angle on a 35mm SLR lens.Wish I had ordered one comparable to a 28mm. Other websites state that lens made in Japan.However, it clearly states on the lens that it was made in China. I originally intended this lens for still pictures, however I was really surprised when I used on my Fujii S700 for moving video.Image quality is truly clear and vivid.Also attached it to my camcorder with equally impressive results.Just remember that lens can be attached to any still or video camera provided you get a appropriate step up ring.That way you can minimize the amount of accessory lenses. The 2x telephoto version is equally good so do yourself a favor and get both.Highly recommended.
